Serving as a centralized pedestrian and bike-friendly corridor that links multiple facilities on the Missouri State University campus, the Kings Street corridor creates functional, safe and welcoming green pedestrian spaces for students and visitors to enjoy as they navigate the campus. The corridor is a result of the conversion of Kings Street into an open walkway that connects student housing and dining facilities, a new recreation center, classroom buildings, the main quad and the football / track stadium.

Along the walkway, four areas are designed to serve as gathering places. One of them is at the Foster Family Recreation Center. The site plan for this LEED Silver-certified facility improves the stormwater management, circulation, and outdoor seating within this area of the campus.

Another area is at the main quadrangle plaza; the addition of the school mascot to the central paving design leaves no doubt that you are in the heart of MSU Bear country.
