Village of La Grange Park
31st Street Corridor Redevelopment Study

Project Overview
The 31st Street Corridor Redevelopment Study includes the entire portion of 31st Street that is located within the La Grange Park municipal boundaries, from Maple Avenue on the east to La Grange Road on the west.
The study will focus on current and future land uses and potential marketplace opportunities. Access, circulation, and parking will also be addressed, with special attention given to strategies that create a more hospitable environment for pedestrians and cyclists. The study is expected to take approximately eight months. There will be public presentations at key points in the planning process to review progress and solicit stakeholder input. The process will be guided by a citizen led task force that includes residents, property owners, merchants, public officials and Village staff.
Hitchcock Design Group, an urban planning and design firm that has been working with metro Chicago’s top tier suburbs for nearly three decades, is leading a team that includes Business Districts, Inc. (marketplace analysis), Kenig, Lindgren, O’Hara, Aboona, Inc. (transportation and parking), and Topografis (architecture and urban planning).
