During the Opportunity Analysis phase the consultants will identify the issues and the most promising opportunities to meet the community’s economic, land use, connectivity and appearance objectives based on the characteristics of the existing marketplace, its natural, physical, cultural and financial resources, and the expectations of a variety of stakeholders. During the Opportunity Analysis village leaders encourage key stakeholders and community members to participate in an on-line survey, one-on-one interviews and an interactive public workshop. At the end of this phase, the consultants will deliver an Opportunity Analysis PowerPoint that summarizes our analysis and preliminary conclusions.
During the Preferred Strategy phase the consultants will reach consensus with community leaders on an overall regional positioning strategy including the most promising private sector redevelopment, public improvement, and community branding opportunities. At the end of this phase, which will include a public open house, the consultants will deliver a concise Strategy Statement, preliminary Framework, Appearance and Identity Plans, and preliminary Implementation Recommendations.
During the Master Plan phase, the consultants will document and seek Village Board approval of their final land development, property improvement, community identity and appearance recommendations. When complete, the consultants will deliver a concise and user-friendly Regional Positioning Plan, including step-by-step implementation recommendations, that Village leaders can use to guide public policy, operations, and capital improvements.
Throughout the process, the consultants will collaborate closely with village leaders to keep the community informed through social and traditional media channels and through a project website.
