The Bartholomew County School Corporation (BCSC) retained the design team to develop a master plan for the Lincoln Campus of the Columbus Signature Academy (CSA), which addressed updating the playground. The original 1967 Gunnar Birkerts playground design, a series of outdoor rooms with various play opportunities, was never fully realized. Using the original designs as the base for the update, a new plan was created that modernized the playground while also bringing it up to current safety standards. The result was a phaseable master plan which improves the current site while respecting the original design intent.
