Project Description
Green Exchange is the conversion of the 250,000 square-foot former Cooper Lamp factory into a “one-stop shop” for environmentally friendly goods and services. The project is LEED Platinum certified and includes sustainable site features such as bioswales, permeable paving, a fourth floor extensive green roof, and a new second floor roof terrace garden. Other sustainable features include reclaimed wood decking material, recycled glass paving and planters, native landscaping, and a 60,000-gallon cistern for irrigating site and rooftop landscaping. The second floor roof garden incorporates a number of green technologies including the use of captured storm water runoff and landscape irrigation.
