Retirement Community Landscape Master Plan | Naperville/Warrenville, Illinois

Monarch Landing is a continuing care retirement community located on a parcel of land that straddles the communities of Naperville and Warrenville. Hitchcock Design Group’s landscape master plan for this project creates a sense of place for the three residential neighborhoods that consists of 1,650 independent living units, and an extended care center that offers short-term rehabilitation, accessory skilled nursing, and assisted living. While the landscape plan defines the overall campus identity, the plan also includes unique opportunities for each neighborhood providing variety and interest throughout the community. The campus has public areas and major landscape features such as a butterfly garden, a waterfall garden, and multiple wetlands and boardwalks for the residents to experience.
