Hitchcock Design Group partnered with the Park District to reimagine and revitalize the southern half of Townley Park, transforming it into a vibrant, inclusive community destination. The redesigned park features a signature, towering playground set atop accessible safety surfacing, a new architecturally styled shelter that complements the nearby train station, and a versatile multi-use sport court. Additional enhancements include a bag toss area, open lawn ballfield, expanded pedestrian pathways with improved neighborhood connectivity, educational signage integrated with native plantings, and a variety of new seating areas and amenities designed to enhance comfort and usability for park visitors of all ages.
